Handlebar Measurement Guide – Harley-Davidson Touring Models
Understanding your handlebar dimensions is key to achieving the perfect riding position and fit. Below are the technical specifications and measurement definitions used for our Folsom Prison Series and Harley-Davidson Touring handlebars.
Height
The height is measured from the centerline of the base bar to the centerline of the grip.
Note: Some manufacturers measure height from the highest point of the peak. We measure from grip to base, ensuring consistent, rider-relevant measurements.
Width
The width is the total distance from the end of one grip to the end of the other, giving riders a clear idea of reach and overall bar span.
Pullback (from Base)
The pullback from base represents the distance between the centerline of the base bar and the end of the grip—an important factor in rider comfort and wrist angle.
Pullback (from Rise)
The pullback from rise measures the distance between the centerline of the riser bar and the end of the grip.
Note: On Road Glide handlebars, the base bar and riser bar are on the same plane, meaning pullback measurements are identical.
Sweep
The sweep angle is the degree of bend between the base bar and the grip, determining how far the grips angle back toward the rider.
