TAB Performance 5.0" 50 Cal Slip-On Mufflers are built for riders who want maximum sound, style, and performance from their Harley-Davidson Touring model. Designed with a 4.5″ body that expands to a full 5″ outlet, these slip-ons deliver a bold, aggressive look that fills out extended bag cutouts like nothing else on the market. The removable baffle core and tip-compatible design let you customize both tone and appearance with ease.

The 50 Cal slip-ons feature TAB’s signature louvered-core baffle design, producing the deep, throaty rumble that has made TAB Performance a household name in the Harley community. When properly tuned, riders can expect double-digit horsepower gains even on stock bikes. TAB also offers auto-tuning fuel managers and high-flow air filters to complete your Stage 1 upgrade—all at a price that delivers exceptional value.

These mufflers install quickly and easily, with tips that can be rotated in 90° increments to match your preferred look.

Note: The 2025 Street Glide Ultra requires a Bullseye Bracket or similar mounting hardware (sold separately).

Emissions & Legal Compliance
The 50 Cal Slip-Ons are qualified manufacturer-declared U.S. 50-State legal emissions replacement parts for all 2017–Up Harley-Davidson® Touring models (assuming no other modifications). This certification applies to emissions only—not noise levels. Noise regulations vary by state, and these mufflers are intended for off-road use where required.

Part Number Explanation

Tip Designations:

  • C – Chrome Slash Cut

  • C2 – Chrome Straight Cut

  • B – Black Slash Cut

  • B2 – Black Straight Cut

Baffle Designations:

  • 2.5 – 2.5″ Louvered Core

  • Z – Zombie

Examples:

  • 121-2299-C-Z → 2017–Up Black muffler with chrome slash cut tips and Zombie baffles

  • 121-2298-C-Z → 1995–2016 Black muffler with chrome slash cut tips and Zombie baffles

Important Notes

  • Discoloration: Tip interiors may blue or discolor over time—especially on the left side. This is normal due to heat exposure and is not covered under warranty.

  • CVO Fitment: Stock CVO muffler heat shields do not fit this exhaust.

  • Tip Orientation: If tips are rotated upward toward saddlebags, the inner (non-cosmetic) surface will be more visible.

  • Warranty: Blueing or discoloration caused by heat or tuning is not a warrantable issue.

If you have enough pre-load in the rear shocks, you may encounter a very tight clearance between the muffler and the swingarm. In most cases, the weight of the bike alone will compress the shock enough to provide plenty of clearance. However, enough pre-load will prevent the shock from compressing and can potentially cause the muffler to contact the belt tensioner cam when there is no weight on the bike. If you experience this, you may need to reduce the pre-load just enough so the shock can compress under the weight of the bike. International Note: Some international 2021-Up Models use a special gasket in between the muffler and the head pipe. If you have this set-up you will need to replace your headers for any after-market pipe fitment. These are compatible with standard and stock stretched bags. They are also compatible with 4.5" aftermarket bags as long as you have a stock fender. You will run into fitment issues if you have stretched bags and a stretched fender or fender extension.
